About Us
James Booth Foundation, Inc. is a public 501©(3), nonprofit tax-deductible organization dedicated to identifying and providing young athletes with leadership, mentorship and the financial support to participate in organized sports, regardless of their limited finances. Teamwork and sports help students be more confident and energetic in their physical abilities, communication skills and overall outlook in life. For many, a scholarship to play sports results in a new passion for self discipline, healthy habits, sportsmanship and a place to belong. That is why we grant sports scholarships to our country’s future leaders. Our goal is to grant partial and full scholarships to an average of 100 players a year. With the help of our amazing partners and supporters, our goal is to be able to scholarship 1,000 players a year.

Our mission is to empower underserved middle and high school basketball athletes by providing them with quality basketball shoes and mentorship. We believe that boosting their confidence fosters commitment and cultivates strong character both on and off the court, ultimately paving the way for higher education opportunities..
OUR VISION
James Booth Foundation was formed, to honor its namesake who suffered a near fatal stroke in 2007 and transitioned to heavenly basketball courts January 2020. James spent his life actively pouring into the lives of at-risk and underserved students for over three decades, by refereeing basketball games for several leagues and divisions, all while instilling character and leadership principles. He also served as a fundraising liaison for several public school districts to ensure underserved students would have necessary equipment for their sport. We believe with dedicated mentoring, a constructive environment and adequate financial resources, players learn life essential skills that are carried on into adulthood and their opportunities in life will soar.
